Justice Services

CMHA Nipissing offers a number of services for individuals with serious mental illness who come into conflict with the law. Read more below.

Mental Health Justice Service

The Mental Health Justice Service is a client centered program which provides outreach  support, assistance, and intensive case management to individuals with serious mental illness who come into conflict with the law. The program operates in close collaboration with key partners such as the provincial Crown Attorney, NBRHC Forensic services, lawyers, police  services and other mental health service providers.

Northern Shores Human Services and Justice Coordination Committee (NS HSJCC)

CMHA Nipissing is the designated host agency for the NS HSJCC which meets about four times a year to oversee and support the work undertaken by each of the more local HSJCCs based in the Districts of Parry Sound, Nipissing and Timiskaming.
